Yurga Institute of Technology (Branch) of National Research Tomsk Polytechnic University (Yurga, Russia) is seeking to cooperate on a multi-country Tempus (curriculum development) do develop an International Masters level programme called “Applied Information Science in Analytical Economics”.

The desired objectives of the project are:

1. Modernisation and restructuring curriculum for Bachelor training in compliance with the Bologna process.

2. Providing mobility of the teachers in order to develop new courses in accordance with the European quality standards and national priorities.

3. Developing core courses using ECTS.

4. Developing a system of Universities cooperation with their related industrial organizations to meet the labour market requirements.

We will also consider becoming partners and join consortia being formed to work on the projects aimed modernization of programmes of economics, environmental issues, transport and machinery, metallurgy, agriculture, mining and mineral recourses processing

The UIT of TPU research profile is grounded on a broad-based platform across a wide range of disciplines. Research focuses on:

- Wear-and-tear, straining, machinability of materials aimed at creating scientific fundamentals of tool design and operations improvement in engineering procedure of blanking operations and machine elements;

- Materials technology of coatings and surface modification of steels and alloys using high-energy impact by plasma, laser and electron beam, and powerful ultrasound;

- Developing theory and engineering tools aimed at reducing metal spatter in CO2 welding.

- Developing strategies of service properties control of welded joints of high-strength alloyed steels in fusion welding;

- Information systems and decision models in strategical and innovation management of a company, city, or region;

- Developing the basics of subsurface vehicle geodynamics;

- Research and testing of semiconductors and semiconductor devices.

The degree programs of the Institute include Company Management, Applied Information Science, Accounting, Analysis and Audit, Support Service and Maintenance of Agricultural Machines, Mechanical Engineering, Equipment and Technology of Welding Production, Metallurgy of Ferrous Metals, Mining Machines and Equipment, Environmental Protection Engineering, Protection in Emergencies.
