Boosting the Knowledge Triangle by Establishing Innovation Offices in Ukrainian Higher Education Institutions

The European joint project UNI4INNO (Boosting the Knowledge Triangle by Establishing Innovation Offices in Ukrainian Higher Education Institutions) was launched on 23rd of February 2010 at the Kiev Chamber of Commerce. The UNI4INNO is a three year project with a 637,405 € budget, funded with the support of the European Commission within the framework of the TEMPUS IV program. The University of Alicante (Spain) is the project´s coordinator, and the consortium is made up of three additional EU partners (Chalmers University of Technology from Sweden, University of Bologna from Italy, and the World University Service-Austrian Committee), 6 Ukrainian universities (Crimean University of the Humanities, Donbass State Engineering Academy, Lviv Polytechnic National University, National Aerospace University, National Metallurgical Academy of Ukraine and Odessa I.I Mechnikov National University), the Kiev Chamber of Commerce, the Ukrainian State Institute of Innovation Technologies and Content of Education and the Ministry of Education and Science of the Ukraine.

UNI4INNO - first training module

The first training module of the Tempus project Boosting Knowledge Triangle by establishing Innovation Offices in Ukrainian HEIs (UNI4INNO) will be held in Gothenburg (Sweden), from 24-27 January, 2011, hosted by Chalmers University. Representatives from Ukrainian partner institutions (including the selected staff for the newly created Innovation Offices), from the Kiev Chamber of Commerce, the Ukrainian Ministry of Education and the Institute of Innovation Technologies will learn from Swedish experiences in technology transfer, entrepreneurship, technology transfer and IP management. There are also several visits scheduled of innovation support structures at Swedish universities. Details available on the web-site: http://www.uni4inno.eu/

Засідання підсумкової колегії МОН України

22 квітня 2010 р. на базі Національної юридичної академії ім. Я.Мудрого (м. Харків) відбулося засідання підсумкової колегії Міністерства освіти і науки України "Про підсумки діяльності вищих навчальних закладів у 2008/2009 навчальному році та основні питання на 2009/2010 навчальний рік". У роботі колегії взяли участь близько 900 учасників, серед них - члени Національної команди експертів з реформування вищої освіти України Віце-президент Національної академії педагогічних наук Володимир Луговий, перший заступник директора Інститута вищої освіти НАПН України Михайло Степко та представник Національного Темпус-офісу в Україні Жанна Таланова.

Tempus Regional Seminar on University Governance

On March 1-2 2010 Kyiv hosted Tempus Regional Seminar on University Governance in Eastern European countries organized by Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) under the auspices of EU Delegation to Ukraine and National Tempus Office – Ukraine. This event was organized within the framework of the European Union Tempus programme which is funded by the EuropeAid Co-operation Office and the Directorate-General for Enlargement.
