Institute of Information Society Problems of Odessa National Academy of Telecommunications named after A.S. Popov is interested in participating in TEMPUS projects to solve the following priority problems of the Institute: creation of effective information and education environment in the academy with extended functions of  "feedback" and participation of student government structures in decision-making; introduction of sociological systems of the education quality monitoring, development of rational social administration and management of sociology departments of  the EU countries (http://www.onat.edu.ua)

3.         Information about the prospective project TEMPUS:

Education-researches-innovations: technological modernization, functional integration and institutional expansion of  sociological research systems of universities in EU.

4.         The proposal / project description:

The project should enable universities - partners in the project implementation of fully automated system of sociological monitoring, which will allow students, teachers, community organizations, governmental entities, businesses and other users of sociological information resources to use effectively and to  distribute the traditional and electronic materials of Sociological Research (programs, methodological resources, databases, analytical materials, reports, recommendations, forecasts, models of social development processes).

This project should provide:

-           The development of the potential resource base of education-scientific production centers at the sites of sociological researching system (office equipment, computers, library resources, software, professional development of the staff, etc.);

-           The inclusion of uncovered sociological resource centers of universities in to the unified  sociological researching systems;

-           Creation of  web-portals for the university curriculums with materials for the scientific and practical work, for outreach-information works, for vocational guidance and students’ skills development, which will be linked with formation of electronic databases and resource potential of sociological researching system;

-           Installing the new servers at the centers of the sociological researching system (in Ukraine, for example educational and scientific production centers in Lvov, Kyiv, Donetsk, Dnepropetrovsk, Vinnitsa, Odessa);

-           Ensuring of regular updating of electronic presentations of  sociological monitoring results to  solve practical problems of social control, management, PR, education and training, protection of the rights and freedoms of citizens, etc.;

-           Creating a archive for electronic databases of sociological data and using of electronic documents with their references to the resources of sociological researching system.
