Main field of activities of your institution: Omsk State Agrarian University named after P.A. Stlypin as a leading Russian agrarian university has a history dating back to the beginning of the XX century. The main subject areas covered by research and education are agriculture, plant breeding, horticulture, food sciences, land management, veterinary sciences, cattle breeding, water recourse management and engineering, ecology, biology, agrarian chemistry, humanities, commodity sciences, economics, management, accountancy, dairy technology. There are about 11 thousand students at 12 faculties. Almost all the courses have been converted into BSc and MSc courses in accordance with the requirements of the Bologna Declaration. Currently the University aims at further internationalization of education and introduction of greater number of Master courses, including courses taught in English and other foreign languages. As a result of different European projects running in OSAU for about ten years the following departments have been established: international relations office (2000), linguistic center (2000), Center of Polish History, Language and Culture (2010), Center for Sustainable Territorial Development (2011). OSAU named after P.A. Stolypin has a vast partnership area in Russia, CIS, EU and other countries. Previous international experience: Partner of 8 Tempus projects (two running projects), one Erasmus Mundus project. Information about the intended TEMPUS project: a joint project or structural measures in relevant sciences and those which are necessary for further internationalization of the University.
