Centre Regional de Braga, Portuguese Catholic University is looking for partners

In a moment of crisis like the one we are currently living, where students who come to us are concerned increasingly with the issue of employability, and where universities are evaluated on the basis of the outputs that provide professional, it makes sense that the Centre Regional Braga of the Portuguese Catholic University seek to adopt action plans that meet the expectations of the student community, which have impact on the development of the territory and create conditions for sustainability in the face of external threats derived from successive global crises that have plagued societies. Having these underlying assumptions and intentions, the strategic focus will in order to foster the entrepreneurial skills of our student community, seeking to create sustainable conditions for the bet in self-employment. This self-employment is fundamentally linked to the production of locally based, preferentially investing in the creation of cooperatives. It is intended to create and establish a network of new cooperatives run by young graduates, who are able to promote cooperation, both nationally and internationally, connecting territories bet in productions locally based and internationalization of them.

In this sense, we must initially establish a solid foundation of the European dimension of entrepreneurship, trying to assess the skills of the entrepreneur; compare specific geographical or sectorial these skills and anticipate areas of sustainable business in cultural, economic, social and environmental. These purposes will be supported in networks organized into resource centers. These resource center should operate in their own universities will join this project. This network will be responsible for creating scholarship opportunities for employment and incubation of business opportunities, there may result the emergence of local services in a transnational context. This whole process must go through a certification and accreditation system that has a quality label that is recognized.

We also intend to develop the language skills of beneficiaries through internship programs; promote yourself transnational collaborative research and develop local strategies for socio-professional integration, enabling the transfer of knowledge between different partners and encourage cooperation (technical and economic) between the university and society. Because this is also research, we intend to further disseminate the results through the publication of specialty magazines.
