Among 199 projects selected for funding by Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) in 2013 Call, 5 projects have been submitted by Ukrainian universities: 1) Module: “Immersion into the EU: training for school teachers” submitted by Cherkasy Regional Institute of Postgraduate Education (responsible person Natalia Chepurna); 2) Module: “European Union and Ukraine Relations in Focus: Neighbours or Members?” submitted by Odesa Mechnikov National University (responsible person Iryna Nasadiuk); 3) Jean Monnet Chair: “Enhancing Visibility and Attractiveness of EU Studies in Ukraine” submitted by National Academy of Public Administration, Office of the President of Ukraine (responsible person Igor Grytsjak); 4) Jean Monnet Chair: “University Courses in European Economic Integration” submitted by Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv (responsible person Oleksandr Shnyrkov); 5) Information and Research Activities: “Towards a More Resilient European Neighborhood: Security Cooperation and the Management of Current and Future Threats in Europe's Strategic Orbit” submitted by International Association for Institutional Studies (responsible person Tetyana Malyarenko). Jean Monnet programme is an EU initiative launched in 1990 in order to disseminate EU values and advance European studies in Europe and the world. Jean Monnet programme raises public awareness, facilitates interpersonal and intercultural dialogue via promoting research, teaching and learning about the EU, stimulating academic and public debates. Nowadays, over 70 countries participate in the programme that is open to participants from the EU and all over the world (participation requirements are the same for the former and the latter).
