European higher education institutions were invited in May this year to apply for the new “Erasmus Charter for Higher Education”. 4886 applications were received.

The Erasmus Charter for Higher Education provides the general quality framework for European and international cooperation activities a higher education institution may carry out within Erasmus+. The award of an Erasmus Charter for Higher Education is a pre-requisite for all higher education institutions located in a programme country to participate in learning mobility of individuals and/or cooperation for innovation and good practices under Erasmus+.

€15 million up for grabs to support ICT entrepreneurship and web startups in first round of Horizon 2020 funding.

The EU has just launched the first round of applications for its new 7 year research and innovation programme, Horizon 2020.

Over €15m is available to transform entrepreneurial culture, give students the confidence, knowhow and support to set up their own businesses and to help promising web startups launch in Europe and go global.

Erasmus+, the new EU programme for education, training, youth and sport, due to begin in January, was approved today by the European Parliament. Aimed at boosting skills, employability and supporting the modernisation of education, training and youth systems, the seven-year programme will have a budget of €14.7 billion1 - 40% higher than current levels. More than 4 million people will receive support to study, train, work or volunteer abroad, including 2 million higher education students, 650 000 vocational training students and apprentices, as well as more than 500 000 going on youth exchanges or volunteering abroad. Students planning a full Master's degree abroad, for which national grants or loans are seldom available, will benefit from a new loan guarantee scheme run by the European Investment Fund. Erasmus+ will also provide funding for education and training staff, youth workers and for partnerships between universities, colleges, schools, enterprises, and not-for-profit organisations.

27 листопада 2013 р. з 15.00 до 17.00. відбувся семінар-зустріч з менеджером проектів Програми Темпус Виконавчого агентства ЄС з освіти, аудіовізуальних засобів і культури Францом Штейделе (м. Брюссель, Бельгія). Під час заходу керівники проектів від України мали нагоду отримати інфрмацію про реалізацію проектів програми Темпус, основні ресурси та джерела, а також було презентовано нову програму ЄМ Еразмус+. У заході взяли участь близько 50 учасників, відповідальних за поточні проекти Програми Темпус, представники міжнародних відділів, викладачі ВНЗ України, що виконують проекти Програми Темпус IV.
