Bukhara State University (BSU), established in 1930 is one of the leading universities in Uzbekistan with more than 8000 thousand students and 1500 employees. University is situated in the center of Bukhara, which is known as a historical city on the Great Silk Road.

University has established wide education, research and exchange with national and foreign universities. Until now, BSU has participated in 9 TEMPUS and 7 Erasmus Mundus projects, so it is considered as having the leading experience in this field in Uzbekistan.

BSU expresses its interest in TEMPUS V (JEP and SCM projects) and would like to participate as a partner in projects that focus the following priorities:

National Priorities for Joint Projects:

- Modernisation of curricula with three cycle structure, ECTS and degree recognition in Business and administration, Life science, Physical science, Computing, Engineering and engineering trades, Manufacturing and processing, Architecture and building, Agriculture, forestry and fishery, Veterinary, Health, Transport services, Environmental protection.

- Development of partnerships with enterprises

Regional (Central Asia) Priorities for Joint Projects:

- Modernisation of curricula with three cycle structure, ECTS and degree recognition in Education/pedagogy, Law, Good governance, Water, Energy, Environment

- University management and student services

- Introduction of quality assurance

- Institutional and financial autonomy and accountability

- Development of international relations

National Priorities for Structural Measures:

- Introduction of quality assurance

- Knowledge triangle: education- innovation-research

Regional (Central Asia) Priorities for Structural Measures:

- Introduction of quality assurance

- Development of international relations

- Development of partnerships with enterprises

- Knowledge triangle: education-innovation-research

- Training courses for public services (ministries, regional/local authorities)

- Qualifications frameworks

Also, we would like to cooperate within Tempus Action 2 (formerly Erasmus Mundus External Cooperation Window). We have a wide range of cooperation links within our region, as well as other parts of the world, so that consortia either in Action 1 or Action 2 can be easily build in various spheres and at high level.
