Albanian Higher Education Institutions are looking for partner institutions interested in participating in a Tempus project in the field of teacher training and education sciences.

Information about the intended TEMPUS project:

Type of project: (Joint project or Structural Measures) For Joint Project (JP): Curricular Reform, focus on "Teacher and training and Education Science", For Structural Measures (SM): ?Higher Education and Society in Training of non-university teachers

Project proposal/description:

The purpose of the potential projects could to improve the existing education system in providing pre and in service training for non university teachers. The basic idea is to develop and introduce a Master of education, which the aim is to prepare teachers based to their general training in bachelor level. The scope is to revise relevant curricula, mainly at master level, and existing relevant modules of teaching courses and approximating them to the European educational standards, developing and implementing training and retraining programs for teachers. Furthermore, we would to keep in focus the pedagogical practice and the State Exam for teachers given the fact that in Albania teaching has become a state regulated profession. Furthermore on the basis of developed teaching courses, to see the possibility to develop and implement lifelong learning courses in educational process for teachers of all the fields.
