TAJIK TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY, TAJIKISTAN, is looking for partners

Brief description of University: Today, TTU ranks high in the scientific and technical complex of the Republic of Tajikistan. During the years of its existence the University has prepared more than 23 thousand engineers in various specialties for almost all sectors of the economy of the country. Preparation of highly skilled specialists at the University is based on the concept of multi-level training system, which allows taking into account the real needs, flexibility in the forms and methods of instruction and targeted approach to training.

The University comprises the following departments: Department of Energy, Faculty of Technology, Faculty of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Business and Management, Engineering, Faculty of Chemical Technology and Metallurgy, Department of Transportation, Faculty of roads and bridges,

Number of Students – 4500;

Number of teachers-160. (among them teachers’ with Doctor Degree-14, teachers’ with Candidate of Science (Master’s Degree)-25.

From 1996-1997 academic year at TTU worker a technical college in Dushanbe and Polytechnic university in Khujand .

Tajik Technical University named after M. Osimi has a modern scientific and technical equipment, training and laboratory facilities, as well as experienced teaching staff, capable of solving complex problems facing the state.

 International cooperation: Tajik Technical University, its faculty and students participated in the following international projects :

• TEMPUS-2006 Master's Program "Renewable Energy Technologies."

• TEMPUS-2010 "The potential energy of water " together with the Kazakh and Kyrgyz partners.

• For many years TTU together with UNDP, the European Union, CAREC and other research international organizations worked in field Energy saving , and the use of renewable energy and environmental issues.

Need analysis. The problem of efficient use of energy resources is one of the most pressing problems in the world. This, it first bound with exhaustion of natural energy resources, and secondly, the nature of pollution and change climate at world.The Government of Republic of Tajikistan is taking active measures to improve the culture of saving and introduction of energy efficient technologies and renewable energy.At realization of the project ideas will enable students to acquire additional knowledge and necessary skills to solve this global problem and allow for a master's courses and training them in that direction. This project idea is relevant in all directions, as will enhance the knowledge and skills of students. This project idea is a regional and directions for priority knowledge triangle: education, innovation-related research.

Tajik Technical University, has long been needed in creation of a special laboratory for energy conservation and efficiency in the system drives, and special training courses masters. The department "Automated electric and electric vehicles," in Tajik Technical University named after M. Osimi interested in conducting research to clarify the efficiency of energy use in municipal and industrial motor drives, upgrading of laboratory facilities for energy conservation and energy efficiency in electric drives, in creation and implementation of master's courses.

Objectives of the project:

• Adapting laboratory to the state education and training in the Republic of Tajikistan,

• Training programs and educational materials;

• Conduct workshops on educational programs for energy efficiency and conservation in automated control systems of electric drives (including micro-and mini-hydro);

• Testing the educational program of master's degrees (creation of training courses based on TTU) to improve energy efficiency and conservation in automated control systems of electric drives (including micro-and mini-hydro);

• Lessons from masters in the field of energy efficiency and conservation in automated control systems of electric drives.

Activities of the project:

• Create a mini-project, involving the preparation of master's degrees in the direction of energy-saving and energy efficiency.

• knowledge and experiences of individual teachers-cational institutions formation EU (training for the improvement and implementation of knowledge triangle: education, innovation, research).

• Conduct workshops on educational programs for the preparation of masters towards energy efficiency and conservation in automated control systems of electric drives (including micro-and mini-hydro);
