IDEA 3

1. Name of university interested in participating in TEMPUS project:

International name: Faculty of Natural Science, Kherson State University, Ukraine

National name: Факультет природознавства, здоров’я людини і туризму Херсонського державного університету

2. Main field of activities:

2.1. education training of bachelors, masters in specialties “Chemistry*”, “Biology*”, “Remedial education”, “Human Health”, “Tourism” and postgraduate students in specialties “Human and Animal Physiology”, “Biochemistry”, “Entomology”, “Special psychology”, “Physical chemistry”;

2.2. research – clarification of physiological, psychological and speech development peculiarities of people with visual, auditory or musculoskeletal systems defects, with psychic and mental development defects and development of rehabilitation programs for such people; development of diagnostic and purification of sewage; analysis of the biological influence of heterocyclic compositions on vegetative and animal objects; basing of the regional ecological education system for children and youth; comparative ethology of social insect of different natural geographic areas; elaboration of regional green tourism development programs.

3. Information about the intended TEMPUS project:

3.1. “Seminars in the system of training of remedial teachers and physical rehabilitation experts”

3.2. “Creation of social network “Remedial education”

3.3. “Postgraduate ecological education of teachers”

3.4. “Formulation of practical studies in population ecology, animal ecology, ethology and sociobiology”

4. Projects description:

4.1. Project proposal №1.  “Seminars in the system of training of remedial teachers and physical rehabilitation experts”.

Argumentation: In recent years in Ukraine and in the world the number of children with inherent or early acquired development defects is growing and some part of them is liable to correct. Providing of the adequate correctional rehabilitation attendance and socialization of children with special needs depend largely not only on normative legal regulation of this problem, but also on highly skilled experts to be available (remedial teachers, special psychologists, physical rehabilitation experts). Different countries have their own methodological approaches to correction and rehabilitation of people with special needs, each of them has pros and cons.  That’s why introduction of the progressive experience of different countries in the branch of remedial education and physical rehabilitation will promote mutual enrichment of curricula of project participant countries.

The essence of project: The project is expected to promote development of the program structure and content of the international interactive full-time and on-line practical works, seminars, trainings, summer schools for partnership university students and teachers to gain the experience of designing and realization of diagnostic and correctional rehabilitation programs for people with special needs.

The expected results: Elaboration of educational methodical support of practice studies; creation of the electronic video store with different correctional rehabilitation programs; approbation of the training system for defectologicy and rehabilitation study students; conducting of the final conference.

4.2. Project proposal №2. “Creation of social network “Remedial education”

Argumentation: Nowadays there are a lot of Ukrainian and international web-sites of special educational institutions, public organizations and bodies of public administration, where one can find consideration of legal issues and progressive teaching experience of treatment of children with special needs. However, cases, when these web-sites are isolated and not popular, are rather frequent. That’s why it’s reasonable to create and promote specialized social network to unite efforts of remedial educational institutional teaching staff, doctors, parents, bodies of public administration, public organizations for creation of the optimal educational and social environment for children with special needs.  Web-site “Remedial education of Kherson oblast” demonstrates the demand of special educational institutional workers, parents of children with special needs and public organizations to have such network.

The essence of project: The project is expected to create the social network for special educational institutional teaching staff and parents of children with special needs, where they can discuss normative legal, educational and correction rehabilitation questions concerning people with special needs.

The expected results: Creation and promotion of social network “Remedial education” to share Ukrainian and international progressive experience of treatment and socialization of children with special needs, providing with information concerning trainings, seminars, conferences.

4.3. Project proposal №3. “Postgraduate ecological education of teachers”

Argumentation: The modern ecological crisis determines the substitution of the anthropocentric world-view for the ecocentric one to provide with the stable social development. Training of teachers to provide distinct ecologically-oriented activities in professional and social branches is essential.  Thus the ecological ability of the teacher acquires the determinative sense among all professional teaching skills and its creation and development take place during the whole professional life.

The essence of project: The project is expected to create the postgraduate ecological educational system for teachers by means of interinstitutional courses, seminars, trainings, ecological camps, green tourism in consideration of global and regional ecological peculiarities, personal qualities and teaching branches of activity.

The expected results: Creation of the general and regional postgraduate educational program for teachers; integration of the international experience into the national system of uninterrupted teacher training during the professional life.

4.4. Project proposal №4. “Formulation of practical studies in population ecology, animal ecology, ethology and sociobiology”

Argumentation: The organization of the observation for natural alterations and changes of the environment is necessary for the evaluation of the direct bioecological and medical biological results of anthropogenic influence on natural ecosystems. Literary information and results of the Ethology and Population Ecology Laboratory activities show that the phenogenetical approach is rather sensitive integrative one, based on morhogenetical and ecological ethological analyses, theoretical achievements of epigenetics and population development biology.

The essence of project: The project is expected to conduct investigations of regularities of overorganismic structures in animal groups, monitoring of natural and anthropogenic ecosystems, researches of social, ethological, genetic and phonetic structures of animal populations, organization and conducting of expeditions with workers of the Chornomorsky Biosphere Reserve, Luhansky nature reserve, Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University, A.N. Severtsov Institute of Problems of Ecology and Evolution RAS (Moscow), Zoological Institute RAS (Saint Petersburg), Institute of Plant and Animal Ecology RAS (Yekaterinburg).

The expected results: Creation of teaching methodical maintenance for practical studies in population ecology, animal ecology, ethology and sociobiology.
