The University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Moldova is interested to participate in TEMPUS projects focused on the following priorities Univesity management and student services (especialy interested in Integrated Lybrary Management), Introduction of quality assusrance, Institutional and financial authonomy, and other priorities relevant for Moldova (www.usmf.md).

3. Information about the intended TEMPUS project:

To provide technological modernization, functional integration and institutional expansion of academic library system in Eastern Universities.

4. Project proposal/description:

The project should enable universities – project partners to realize the complete automation of library information system, which will enable students, residents, teachers and other users of the academic libraries to effectively use and exchange conventional and electronic library materials.

This project should provide:

• Installation of new servers in library system` nodes;
• Inclusion of unenclosed faculty libraries in the library-information system of their universities;
• Implementation of new library services to complete all ILS;
• Establishment of web portals for university curricula with the data about obligatory literature, teaching materials and lecture materials connected with repositories and library OPAC;
• Establishment of the system for archiving and use of digital university documents and their linking to library-information system and system of communication in science.
