Project Description a joint project - University management and student services/ national project

Project title: Student service center as an instrument of optimization and coordination for student-services provision

Key words: student service center, socialization, employment, competitiveness, business orientation, quality of education, student government.

Scope of the project: the emphasis is to draw attention for improving the system of higher education according to European trends and needs of labor market through the development of student services at universities

Objections:

- optimization the process of providing student services;

- improving the level of informatization in providing student services;

- constant monitoring of needs and trends of labor market with the relevant professional orientation;

- improving professional preparation of students according to the modern requirements of labor market through practical trainings;

- students’ adaptation for the conditions of labor market (business incubator);

- social integration of students with disabilities and students without parental care;

- social support of international students and strengthening inter-ethnic relations;

- students mobility within project consortium;

- strengthening cooperation between higher education establishments on the level of student government;

- increasing interaction with real economy;

- strengthening cultural and educational cooperation between partner-universities;

- students’ right protection.

Results:

- Establishing Student Service Center as a structural university unit. Activities: information support, employment, psychological support, international communication, aesthetic development;

- Creating a Web resource of Student Services Center which will display the structure of service center and day and night supplying of its operations;

- Organizing educational and scientific probations at partner-universities;

- Publication specialized manuals of priority areas;

- Finance support for students with disabilities and students without parental care;

- Increasing the legal literacy of students.
