AgroManagement project is urgently looking for partners

Looking for:

a) European universities, who have experience in curriculum design and training of highly qualified professionals in modern agrarian management, as coordinator for the Project and as partners for the project

b) Ukrainian and Russian universities who wish to take part in cooperation on designing and introducing the curriculum for the universities to award degrees in agricultural management

Title: Agricultural Management - European experience and curricula development and implementation in Ukrainian and Russian Universities

Project Acronym: AGROM; Multinational joint project; Priority - Curriculum Reform

Project Duration: January 2014 - January 2017

Consortium: European universities, who have experience in curriculum design and training of highly qualified professionals in modern agrarian management, Ukrainian and Russian universities who wish to take part in cooperation on designing and introducing the curriculum for the universities to award degrees in agricultural management.

Target Group: undergraduates, graduate and post-graduate students and university professors, employees of agricultural businesses and farmers, owners and managers of agricultural enterprises, ministry of agriculture.

Purpose and Objectives of the Project:

Taking into account the world’s theoretical and practical experience in agricultural management, to develop a set of training materials and methodological support for training a modern competitive agriculture manager and introduce them into the educational environment of the Ukrainian and Russian universities.

The project aims to meet the market demand in professional and highly qualified specialists in agricultural management.

Activities of the project:

1. Study of the European model experience in training specialists in modern agricultural management.

2. Familiarization to the practical aspects and experience of the leading European agricultural enterprises.

3. Design of curricula, syllabi, and a set of training materials and methodological support for bachelors, masters and PhD students in agricultural management meeting the modern standards of agrarian business management and advanced foreign language training.

4. Comprehensive introduction of the curriculum on agricultural management to the Universities.

5. Invitation of the leading European lecturers on agricultural management to teach the core subjects of the curriculum.

6. Developing mechanism of sustainable organization of Ukrainian and Russian students’ internship at the leading European farms and agricultural enterprises in order to gain practical experience.

7. Organization of internship for lecturers of Russian and Ukrainian universities at the European higher schools, farms and agricultural businesses in order to ensure the practical orientation of teaching professionally oriented subjects.

8. Finding the opportunities to enhance exchange visits of students to do their practice and develop skills in the major and write their graduation theses.

9. Holding national and international joint conferences, seminars, round tables on the contemporary issues of agricultural management.

10. Doing joint study and publishing collective manuals and set of training and methodological materials on agriculture management.

11. Adopting courses and level training for professional development and retraining of farmers and workers of agricultural businesses on the basis of curricula designed. (Including distance learning and blended learning).

12. Dissemination of experience and the project results among the partner universities and beyond the consortium.

Expected results:

• A set of training materials and methodological support for training bachelors, masters and PhD students in agricultural management. Provision of bachelor, master and PhD studies with the contemporary educational publications in agricultural management.

• The quality training of competitive alumni in agricultural management, taking into account existing requirements of the relevant labor market and the world experience.

• The reformed system of in-company internship of the Ukrainian and Russian students with the purpose for them to master the best European practices and get skills of managing modern agricultural enterprise.

• Establishment of a system of professional development and retraining for the personnel in agricultural management.

• Strengthened links between education and businesses in Ukraine, Russia and European countries.
