The Tempus Project Creates New Preconditions of Education Development in a Sphere of Information Technologies

At Oxford, Oxford Brooks University from 08 to 12 December 2013 the coordination meeting of the Tempus project "National Education Framework for Enhancing IT Students Innovation and Entrepreneurship" took place.

The meeting took place in the form of a round table with the participation of international business experts from 5 European universities and representatives of Ukrainian and European IT companies. The meeting was a review of existing European models of student entrepreneurship in IT and discussion of standards of higher education in Ukraine towards software engineering and IT capabilities commercialization projects involving students, universities and other institutions.

The project team NEFESIE focused on developing models of the ecosystem of entrepreneurship and innovation in the IT sector. The meeting presented the issue of creating a model of technology transfer at universities and research centers, the model of involvement in technological entrepreneurship and learning key skills , the creation and development of technology companies from a number of scientists , engineers and entrepreneurs. A special rate has been made to improve the professionalism of existing ecosystem participants - investors, entrepreneurs , science and technology parks, etc., on the development of their cooperatives.

At the meeting, all project partners discussed NEFESIE standard model educational programs Master of Software Engineering for the development of competencies in the field of innovation, research and development in IT.

This will fill the acute shortage of staff, which was created in the IT companies in transition to innovative development. Today, specialists are needed, who has the ability to manage research and development, manufacturing and marketing of new products and technologies.

Dr. Professor Hans Lundberg, who teaches courses on entrepreneurship and innovation activities in Mexico and Sweden presented the existing successful models of entrepreneurial and innovation ecosystem of these countries.
